About Sara Ghafar

Sara is a passionate and dedicated criminal defence lawyer practicing in our criminal law team. Sara represents clients charged with criminal offences such as murder, drug offences, firearm offences, robbery, assault, sexual assault, fraud, and all types of traffic offences.

Sara is organised and has meticulous attention to detail. Sara has been described as tenacious, steadfastly defending the clients she represents.

Sara has broad experience, representing clients at defended hearings, sentence hearings, bail applications, severity appeals, conviction appeals and RMS licence appeals. Sara also advocates for clients in section 14 application hearings in cases involving defendants suffering from a cognitive or mental health impairment.

Prior to joining Zahr Partners, Sara worked as a paralegal at a Sydney criminal law firm and as a clerk for a prominent Sydney Barrister.

In her spare time, Sara enjoys sampling cuisine from all around the globe and keeping fit.
